I had the good fortune of attending journalist, Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, and speaker Yossi Klein Halevi’s overview of his new book Like Dreamers: The Story of Israeli Paratroopers Who Reunited Jerusalem and Divided a Nation. Yossi, an unassuming, quiet, tall fellow, held the audience with rapt attention. Why? His audience is attentive beyond measure. A pin drop can be heard. This book to date has received over 6,000 reviews.
Listening behavior reflects intent. Listeners have a strong desire to connect, understand, gain wisdom and be informed.
After the program, Yossi accepted my book (Real People Listen) which I gladly signed for him. He joked that he was so used to signing books for others that he welcomed the opportunity to have someone sign a book for him. He can be found on Wikipedia, amazon.com,
