Vehicles are your home away from home…even your business vehicles. Today, I’m featuring a van with “T” shaped windows. They are essentially an oversized window with a separate window on the lower half that slides from side to side. A screen keeps bugs from entering the van. As you can see, this van has 2 tinted T windows on each side to cut glare and maintain privacy, reduce the need to run air conditioning and prevent a build up of stale air in the van interior.
The key to making modifications to existing windows requires very experienced upfitters / installers who measure perfectly before cutting into the van, setting the new window carefully, then sealing well to prevent the new product form shifting or falling out as well as letting moisture in. Get references, read reviews, ask who the upfitter or glass company uses to complete the installation. If you choose to do the work yourself, I wish you smooth sailing.
